Recently we have been involved in the design processes of a project with a new client. Overall I would say it has been a good experience so far, particularly when the architect's client is pleased and excited about its progress.
What I think contributes to the success is being proactive in finding any issues in design, and suggesting options towards solutions. Since we are remote, this would involve a series of live internet sessions, screen shots with markups, and email communications.
We have sensed with some of the people within this architectural firm some enjoyment in working with us, because we have become the solution, and helped push and develop design to where it is today. We feel very much a part of their team now, and look forward to a long working relationship towards supporting their continued successes.

The Complete Package...
For general contractors looking to receive a 100% coordinated set of construction drawings, this can be a bit of a challenge these days. Usually the architectural set of drawings is in decent shape, and the structural drawings are always close to 100%. It is the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings that become problematical when trying to coordinate among trades.
We team with architects and his/her consultants, from Design Development, to help provide this total 100% BIM solution. This way you receive 100% coordinate construction set, and a virtually built model (BIM) to reference.
Additional views can be filtered for each trade locating exactly where each component of each system is to be installed.
The goal here to to save everyone time and money, and to possibly even deliver turn-key sooner than later.
